About This IME- Role
As an Independent Medical Examiner specializing in Orthopedics, you will evaluate NYSLRS members who have applied for disability retirement due to musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative joint conditions, spinal disorders, fractures, and related orthopedic pathologies. Your evaluations form the medical evidentiary foundation for NYSLRS administrative disability determinations — making objectivity, thoroughness, and clear clinical documentation essential.
