About This IME- Neurosurgery Role

As an Independent Medical Examiner specializing in Neurology or Neurosurgery, you will evaluate NYSLRS members applying for disability retirement due to neurological conditions — including traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, peripheral neuropathy, movement disorders, demyelinating diseases, cerebrovascular events, and spinal cord pathology. Your evaluations directly inform NYSLRS disability determinations for some of the most clinically complex cases in the system.
