About This LPN Role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Medication Administration: • Measure, prepare, and administer prescribed medications, including insulin injections. • Apply topical medications as directed. • Dispense certain medications in the absence of a physician when authorized. • Perform and document narcotic counts. • Transcribe physicians’ medication orders accurately. • Check and administer intravenous medications as permitted by policy and scope of practice. • Educate patients regarding medications and their proper use.
