Responsibilities
- Clinical leadership as physician-of-record for PM&R services
- Structured remote chart reviews, documentation oversight, and compliance audits
- Review and co-sign clinical encounters per state and payer requirements
- Establish and maintain physiatric care standards, documentation expectations, and clinical protocols
- Remote guidance and feedback to therapy teams, APPs, and facility leadership
- Identify trends in documentation, care quality, and training needs; lead improvement initiatives
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited school
- Board certification in PM&R required
- Active state medical license(s) in good standing; multi-state preferred
- Substantial clinical experience in PM&R with post-acute/SNF/rehab familiarity
- Medical director or department chair leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of PDPM, rehabilitation coding, documentation compliance, and post-acute regulatory
