Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments for an inpatient rehabilitation population
- Formulate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
- Prescribe medications and other therapeutic treatments as appropriate
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and recovery process
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
- Current, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AANP, ANCC)
- Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is beneficial, but not required
